Looking Forward to Tomorrow

Today was just a regular day, but tomorrow is a holiday. Belgium Labor Day, hooray!
For all hard working people, like me :-)!

We have a family diner to go to and afterwards, it's chillin' time! 

Tough Cookie

I wasn't feeling so well today at work. I think my lack of sleep from the past few weeks and the past weekend has something to do with it...
But I went spinning anyway! HUUUUUOOEEH! Tough, huh?!

Normally, I award myself with a cookie, but today I'm extra tough and skip those extra calories this time.

Road Kill

I just removed a dead cat from the road.

I hate it when cars run animals over and the drivers don't clean up their mess!

This is the second time I stop to bring a dead cat to the side of the road. I only do this when the animal is not all smashed apart, obviously. I bring the animal safely to the side of the road and then I check if it's still alive. If it would be alive, I would rush it to the vet...

The first time I did this, the cat was all stiff, so it was dead for a while. Today, the cat was still warm, so the accident happened not so long before I passed by, but he was dead. Poor kitty!

I think you're wondering why I'm so crazy to do this?

Just stop and think about how you would react when you saw your favourite pet sticking to the road, right in front of your doorstep. Wouldn't you wish that the driver went through the trouble of bringing your pet to the side of the road, so that other cars won't run it over time after time? I prefer a body to bury... 

Most pets are part of the family, so I always hit the brakes when an animal crosses the street!

Weekend Work Trip Part 2

I am having a blast on adventure weekend! Who would have thought?!
I woke up with a bit of a headache this morning. I had a bit too much to drink yesterday night. Normally, I'm not that much of a drinker, but yesterday night was such fun!

Today I went death riding! I never thought I would do this! What a kick! I went down, screaming like a kid!

Another super fun day! Tomorrow it's homewards!

Weekend Work Trip Part 1

I'm on a two day trip with work. It's an adventure weekend in Durbuy. 

Like I told you in one of my previous blog posts, I'm not the adventurous type. But I have to get out of my comfort zone and get adventurous! And so I did today.

The first activity on the agenda was a challenger track. We had to get from one point to another with our ropes and snap links. 

I have a fear of heights, so the word 'challenger' fits right into place. 

I was totally freaking out at the first track (high above the ground), but I did it anyway (with a few fear-tears)!

I'm so proud of myself!

The second track was easier and not high at all.

The second activity was a laser battle. 

I was on the blue team and we totally rocked this game! 

Up to the next day!

Romantic Sushi Diner

We've hardly seen each other all week, so I prepared a romantic diner.
It was time to test my sushi skills again.
